Quinn's Ranch welcomes
new Board Members and Advisory Board Members. But first, I would like
to take this opportunity to say thank you to a very special person in my
life. Ricky Tucker. Ricky Tucker served as Chairman of the Board for
many years. He did a wonderful job as Chairman and he was and is a
great friend.
Ricky Tucker still
serves on the Quinn's Ranch Board of Directors but stepped down as
Chairman. Ricky served many, many long hours for the Ranch. His
leadership was outstanding and the wisdom he shared will never be
forgotten.
He was the first board
member that I went to about starting the Ranch. Remember, we had
nothing but a dream. We had no land, no money, just a vision and a
calling from God. Ricky could have turned his head and said no and
refused to believe, but he did not. He too stepped out on faith and
help to start a wonderful ministry to help kids.
I have grown so much
from his leadership and his advise. He is a wonderful person and a
great friend. I still look to him for advise and always will. Even
though he is getting on up in age, ha, ha, I still go to him.
We would like to take
this time to thank him for all that he has done for the Ranch and for
how much he means to our lives. Thank you Ricky Tucker for who you are
and for all that you have done for Quinn's Ranch Children's Home. We
appreciate you!!!!
Words of Advise:
There are many, many people in this world who have been called to do a
great task. You may be the person God puts in their paths to help them
a long the way. Be that person for them. There are also many, many
others who are still dreaming, but do not have the confidence to step
out on faith. Be that person to encourage them to step out on faith.
There are two types of
people in this world. Balcony People and Basement People. Basement
people say, It can't be done. It will never work. They discourage you
in everyway.
Balcony People hang
over the balcony cheering you on during your race. They tell you they
believe in you, they tell you to never give up, they tell you that you
can do it. They are great encouragers.
Ricky Tucker was and
still is today a great Balcony Person. We are grateful to have him as a
board member and as a friend.
Thank you Ricky Tucker
for all that you have done and will continue to do!
INSPIRE:
Many people
have gone further than they imagined they could because somebody else
thought they could.

This is
Demonta and Andrae. They are brothers. This was taken at
the Alabama Greats Golf Tournament last year. The picture
up top was taken the first Christmas Demonta came to live at
Quinn's Ranch. Since that picture, he has gained over 20
pounds. We later got his brother Andrae. They share a room
together, by request, and get a long great. They are very
close. Please keep them in your prayers. |

Brandon is
in college this year. His first year. Brandon was so
nervous about starting college. We received a letter the
other day from his college saying he was on the President's
list. We were so excited for him. Brandon is a full-time
student and works at the Red Bay Hospital. He has been with
us four years. He is a blessing. Please keep him in prayer
as well. |

Matthew is
a senior this year at Red Bay High School. He is so full of
life. He enjoys sports and the outdoors. He loves people
and has a heart bigger than Texas. Matthew has been with us
four years. Please keep Matthew in your prayers. |

three openings right now for kids. We were full for almost three years
