Quinn's Ranch welcomes new Board Members and Advisory Board Members.  But first, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to a very special person in my life.  Ricky Tucker.  Ricky Tucker served as Chairman of the Board for many years.  He did a wonderful job as Chairman and he was and is a great friend.

Ricky Tucker still serves on the Quinn's Ranch Board of Directors but stepped down as Chairman.  Ricky served many, many long hours for the Ranch.  His leadership was outstanding and the wisdom he shared will never be forgotten.

He was the first board member that I went to about starting the Ranch.   Remember, we had nothing but a dream.  We had no land, no money, just a vision and a calling from God.  Ricky could have turned his head and said no and refused to believe, but he did not.  He too stepped out on faith and help to start a wonderful ministry to help kids.

I have grown so much from his leadership and his advise.  He is a wonderful person and a great friend.  I still look to him for advise and always will.  Even though he is getting on up in age, ha, ha, I still go to him.

We would like to take this time to thank him for all that he has done for the Ranch and for how much he means to our lives.  Thank you Ricky Tucker for who you are and for all that you have done for Quinn's Ranch Children's Home.  We appreciate you!!!!

Words of Advise:   There are many, many people in this world who have been called to do a great task.  You may be the person God puts in their paths to help them a long the way.  Be that person for them.  There are also many, many others who are still dreaming, but do not have the confidence to step out on faith.  Be that person to encourage them to step out on faith.

There are two types of people in this world.  Balcony People and Basement People.  Basement people say, It can't be done.  It will never work.  They discourage you in everyway.

Balcony People hang over the balcony cheering you on during your race.  They tell you they believe in you, they tell you to never give up, they tell you that you can do it.  They are great encouragers.

Ricky Tucker was and still is today a great Balcony Person.  We are grateful to have him as a board member and as a friend.

Thank you Ricky Tucker for all that you have done and will continue to do!

INSPIRE:  Many people have gone further than they imagined they could because somebody else thought they could.

WELCOME NEW QUINN'S RANCH BOARD MEMBERS:

Lanny Norris:  Lanny Norris is the new Chairman of Quinn's Ranch Children's Home.  He is already showing great leadership and is a great motivator.  Lanny is from Russellville, AL and is a State Farm Agent.  He played under Coach Bryant in 70, 71 and 72.  He played on two SEC Championships.  Lanny is a champion on and off the field.  He has a heart for Christ and for missions.

I have seen his passion for missions and that excites me.  He is excited about serving as Chairman and as I said before, has already shown great leadership.  I am looking so forward to working with him.  We are very blessed to have him as a leader and as a friend.  Through God's leadership, he will take us far in this journey.  Please lift him up in prayer.

Wade Wallace:  The Ranch has also added Brother Wade Wallace.  He is the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Russellville.  Brother Wade and his wife Cortney, have been involved with the Ranch for many years.  Brother Wade is someone you can count on and he has a really big heart for missions.  We are excited and thankful that he has joined. He will display great leadership and wisdom.  He will bring so much to the table.  He is an incredible motivator.

Dr. Jimmy Gardiner:  Jimmy Gardiner is from the Tuscumbia area.  He too has been involved with the Ranch for many, many years.  DR. Gardiner is the voice of the Deshler Tigers and is a great person.  He is a dentist in the Tuscumbia area and has such a big heart for kids and for missions.  He is so much fun to be around and his life truly shines for Christ.  He is a great friend and will bring so much to the table.  We are blessed to have him.

Jake & Kim Linville:  Jake and Kim are husband and wife and live in the Florence area.  Jake is a coach with Wilson High School and Kim is an attorney in the Tuscumbia area.  I have known both of them for several years and I think so highly of them.  They have a lot of energy and a lot of new ideas.  They are excited about serving on the Ranch Board and they excites me.  We are very thankful to have them involved and we are looking so forward to working with them.

Coach Bob Newton:  Coach Bob Newton lives in the Birmingham area.  Coach Newton served as Head Football Coach for Homewood High School for many, many years.  After meeting with Coach Newton on several different occasions, I saw his heart and just how excited he was to serve on the Board to help kids.  We are very grateful and thankful to have him serving on the Board.  Bob Newton is a native from Russellville, AL and played on a state championship football team with Lanny Norris, back in the day.   He told me to tell Lanny, not to be too bossy.  Coach Newton will be a blessing to have and we are very honored to have him on the Board of Directors.

Dexter Ezzell:  Dexter Ezzell has just joined the Board of Directors.  He and his wife Elisha have been involved with us for many years.  They both have a passion for the home and for helping kids.  They are like family to me.  Dexter is over our Deer Hunt that we have every year and he does a wonderful job.  We are so blessed to have him on the board.  He is full of energy and is a hard worker.  He will bring so much to the table.  He already has and we are so thankful for him.  (And also his wife.)

Dicky Sparks:  Dicky Sparks has been a board member for several years.  He has done a wonderful job.  He is over the financial operations, a long with his staff at Sparks Accounting.  He has been more than just an accountant, he has been a friend.  He has been so encouraging to me and the staff of Quinn's Ranch and has truly been a rock for all of us many times.  He still serves as board member.  We are blessed to have him.

Tim Guinn:  Tim Guinn will be rotating off this year, and will be greatly missed.  Tim has been on the Quinn's Ranch Board ever since we began.  He has been a great friend and a great supporter of the Ranch.  He is very encouraging and is a great motivator.  Tim was one of the original board members.  He served for many years.  He will be missed.

This is Demonta and Andrae.  They are brothers.  This was taken at the Alabama Greats Golf Tournament last year.  The picture up top was taken the first Christmas Demonta came to live at Quinn's Ranch.  Since that picture, he has gained over 20 pounds.  We later got his brother Andrae.  They share a room together, by request, and get a long great.  They are very close.  Please keep them in your prayers.
Brandon is in college this year.  His first year.  Brandon was so nervous about starting college.  We received a letter the other day from his college saying he was on the President's list.  We were so excited for him.  Brandon is a full-time student and works at the Red Bay Hospital.  He has been with us four years.  He is a blessing.  Please keep him in prayer as well.
Matthew is a senior this year at Red Bay High School.  He is so full of life.  He enjoys sports and the outdoors.   He loves people and has a heart bigger than Texas.  Matthew has been with us four years.  Please keep Matthew in your prayers.
